Unlike the OTTs, these didn't become more annoying than useful after a few months of use. The color was warmer than normal green fluorescents, but the fluorescent flicker ended up driving you crazy, if you're sensitive to it. None of them are affected by this desk lamp, even at full intensity. The curvature of the luminaire makes it possible to diffuse a uniform light over the entire width of a large desk if it is positioned high enough. Personally, I prefer warmer light, around 3000 Kelvin, when I'm relaxing. While everyone prefers something different, this lamp accommodates virtually everyone by allowing you to infinitely adjust the light between the lowest and highest temperature settings. If you've never spent so much on a desk lamp, you may find yourself temporarily traumatized by the price of this lamp. All in all, I highly recommend this desk lamp if you suffer from severe eye strain from using other cheaper, poorly designed desk lamps. Through trial and error, you may even discover that the light you thought would help you best is not. When I saw these lamps, designed to light up your desk without washing out your screens, I was quite intrigued.
